A mother–daughter brand inspired by my mum’s 25+ years of sourcing in Nepal and India. We blend her experience with my fresh curation — bringing you vintage deadstock clothing, jewellery, and artisan-made treasures.

These treasures are crafted using traditional techniques passed through generations, each with its own distinctive character and story. Through vibrant colours and unique designs, we celebrate both the rich cultural heritage of our homeland, Nepal and the beautiful individuality of those who choose our pieces.

Our Journey

The Beginning

My parents arrived in Australia as Nepalese immigrants with a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship of Nepal and India. In the early 1990s, they started with small market stalls, hand‑sourcing jewellery and artisan-made treasures to share the beauty of our culture.

By 2008, this passion grew into Ganapati Home & Gifts — the shop I grew up in. I spent my childhood wandering aisles of silver jewellery, colourful fabrics, and handmade pieces, watching my mum and dad build friendships with artisans they had known since their youth.

These early experiences shaped DilMaya Gifts today. The relationships my parents nurtured with craftspeople across Nepal and India are the foundation of everything we do: ethical partnerships, fair working conditions, and honoring traditional techniques passed through generations.

The Present

Today, I’m proud to continue this story with my mum as we transform DilMaya Gifts into a space that honours both our heritage and our evolving creativity. Together, we now curate vintage deadstock clothing and jewellery — pieces we’ve collected over the years from our sourcing trips across India and Nepal.

Our brand also supports the work of women artisans in Nepal, many of whom handcraft jewellery and small treasures from their homes. By collaborating with these talented makers, we help create opportunities for women to earn an income while caring for their families — a continuation of the values my parents built their journey on.
